I just wanted to say a massive thank you for this morning! I really enjoyed it and I’m so chuffed with my picture. I can’t wait to come back. x

I LOVE the print, it is better in real life than on a laptop! Thank you so very much xx

“Very instructive course in a medium I was not familiar with. Jill’s advice and guidance was given in a friendly manner. Would recommend this course.”

Our lovely painting of Bamburgh Castle looks so gorgeous in its place. I’ll take a photo on my mobile and send it to you. We’ve loved it more and more since coming home, which is just what a picture should do. I love the way the pathway of sunlight on the water always leads to the castle, whether you look at it from the left or the right, or even straight on. Very clever, I don’t know how you do that. It’s beautifully painted. I hope we’ll be able to get another of your paintings some day.

We absolutely love “From Whitesands” and wonder if you might have it available as a print (or the possibility of it being available) in a much larger size than on your website

I had the pleasure of spending 2 days with Jill on the 28th/29th March which has helped to kick start a long held passion to paint. Jill is a excellent and patient tutor and an amazing artist. I look forward to returning.”

“Wow! As an absolute beginner at using acrylics to create a “proper” painting, I was a little terrified when faced with putting brush to canvas. Jill was very supportive and encouraging, and at the end of the day, which included a lovely lunch prepared by Jill, I went home with a piece of art that I’m actually very proud of. The only disappointing bit was when our crafty session was over and I had to leave!
I am definitely planning a return visit, hopefully in the not-too-distant future. Thank you Jill x”

“Took my mum for a Mother’s Day present for a whole day. We both thoroughly enjoyed the day. Jill was so encouraging. It was a lovely setting in a nice light studio, very calm and relaxing day and under Jill’s expert tuition both of us came away quite proud of what we’d achieved.
We had a delicious home made lunch which was accompanied by some home made bread made by Jill’s lovely husband.
A truly memorable day spent in the company of a charming couple.
Thank you very, very much.”

“I was not disappointed returning for another four days of painting, learning new and exciting techniques. I can accomplish seascapes and boats with confidence and have now moved onto landscapes with Jill’s expert tuition, so much has been achieved. Jill is so encouraging, instills confidence and makes painting fun. The delicious lunches (which we had in their lovely garden) adds to the ambience. The classes are a joy and I cannot wait to return, well worth the ten hour drive from Scotland. Thank you again.”

“I had a one to one full day course with Jill.
I wanted to improve my seascapes.
I had already seen some of Jill’s seascapes and liked her style hence wanting her expert tuition.
I had a fantastic day and learnt some techniques that I have never used before.
I would thoroughly recommend an art course with Jill.”

“I attended the ‘Art your way’ course because I needed some impetus to get me back painting again! It worked! I had lost confidence in my (limited) ability as a painter but a day with Jill helped me tremendously. Her good humour and ability to impart her great artistic knowledge to others made the experience fun and, above all, instructive. I hope to be back to further improve my artistic efforts.”

“What a fantastic four days of painting in Jill’s beautiful studio. She made us feel so welcome and relaxed. I was amazed at what I was able to achieve in that time and my family have been most impressed with my 2 paintings. Jill encourages one with such positivity and I learnt so much in the 4 days. It was full of fun, laughter and music. The lunches that come with the whole day courses are a real homemade treat. Jill goes out of her way to make sure you are welcomed and happy. I loved every minute of it and I will definitely be returning. Thank you Jill”

“I am a local girl and was hoping along with 4 other friends to attend one of Jill’s courses but Covid struck but I did eventually spend a great day myself with Jill last November. It was a pleasure to paint alongside her, I have painted on and off for a few years but it was refreshing to use different brushes and techniques. Lunch was lovely (don’t forget to let me have your soup recipe) and good company. Thank you Jill for a great day, you will see me again and you have got me interested in painting again. I would say to anyone who has painted or not painted in their life to visit Jill, see her studio and share her talent. Heather x”

“What a lovely day! I took my mum as a mother’s day gift and it was the perfect way to spend mother’s day together. She absolutely loved it (not something she has done before) she was blown away by what we managed to achieve in just 2 hours and has already ordered frames to mount it up at home!
Thank you to Jill who provided us with a wonderful time at her beautiful gallery. I have never felt so relaxed! Would recommend to all. Thank you”
