Art lovers in Pembrokeshire have something special to look forward to this Autumn, as acclaimed Welsh artist Jill Jones prepares her new exhibition at the Vault Gallery in Pembroke. It will run from 5th September to 30th November 2026.

The exhibition will showcase Jill’s distinctive approach to contemporary landscape and seascape painting. It celebrates the dramatic beauty, atmosphere and ever-changing moods of the Welsh landscape. Indeed, her work is particularly inspired by the coast, where crashing waves, rugged rocks. In addition, luminous skies and shifting light provide an endless source of creative inspiration.

The recently opened Vault Gallery has added an exciting new dimension to Pembroke’s growing cultural scene. Located in a former bank building the Vault Gallery focuses on providing exhibition opportunities for local artists and creatives, making it an especially fitting venue for Jill’s work.

For visitors to Pembroke and the wider Pembrokeshire area, the exhibition offers an excellent opportunity to experience Jill Jones’ paintings in person. There is nothing quite like seeing an original artwork ‘in the flesh’ allowing viewers to appreciate the texture, movement and subtle layers of colour that can be difficult to convey through digital images.

Duration of the event

Running for almost three months, the exhibition provides plenty of opportunity to visit, browse the collection. Of course, this will allow plenty of time to discover a painting that brings a little of the Welsh landscape into your own home.
