Art Tuition: ‘Canvas and Canapés’. From summer 2021 onward, Oriel Llanteglos Gallery is running Tuesday morning art courses. The courses include canapés and wine (or tea /coffee). In addition, they are to be located in the Wanderers’ Rest Inn. This sits next door to Oriel Llanteglos on the beautiful Llanteglos Estate. All Materials are provided.
You may enjoy a morning exploring and developing your artistic creativity during the courses which are two hours long. Pembrokeshire artist, Jill Jones, will lead the courses and will ensure that participants have an enjoyable, invigorating and educational time. The course format is based on ‘Art your Way’, a tuition platform developed by Jill in her own studio. You will find that the courses will feature seascapes, abstracts and Pembrokeshire places. In addition, at the end of the course, you are free to take home your unique creation. It is hoped that the experience will further encourage you to keep up your artisitic ventures.
Art Tuition: a brief outline of course format
You will discover that during the classes, together we’ll begin to ‘build’ your art. Art tuition will offer handy tips for painting sky and sea or simple land techniques. In addition, you will also be demonstrated the use of colour, observation of light, depth and perspective. You will develop your confidence along with your brush technique as you create your artwork.
You can enjoy either the canapés and wine option or simply tuition (with tea or coffee provided) both will present a fun-filled morning.

Jill trained in Fine Art back in the 80s but has since spent a lifetime in commercial art, returning to her first love, painting, just within the last few years. She is making a huge impact in the art scene across Wales, and her beautiful and inspiring works are widely sought-after. Jill also runs art classes in her West Coast Studio.
