Paintings of the Pembrokeshire Coast are one of the great joys of the art of Jill Jones. Indeed, based in coastally-rich Pembrokeshire, she is surrounded by beautiful inspiration. In fact, the Pembrokeshire Coast is rightfully regarded as one of the most glorious in the country. You will appreciate then that coastal scenes dominate her work.
You will find West Coast Studio, Jill’s custom-built studio and gallery within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and just a stone’s throw from the sea. You’ll see that Jill’s love of the Welsh coast is evident in her work. Indeed, her dramatic seas and gorgeous coastal vistas are outstanding and make superb collectors’ pieces.
New exhibition: ‘Coast’
Jill will have a solo exhibition in September 2022 at Oriel LLanteglos Gallery at Llanteg, near Tenby. The exhibition will run from 10th September until 7th October. Gallery proprietor, Denise Vickery, says: “this is Jill’s second solo exhibition here and after the success of the first we expect great things once again”. All are welcome at the exhibition, in which Paintings of the Pembrokeshire Coast will feature, and you will have the chance to ‘meet the artist’ on some days.
Art tuition
Jill also runs regular art classes in West Coast Studio under the banner of ‘Art your Way’. Students will find that these are classes custom-designed for individual needs, no matter what the student’s ability. From complete novices to experienced artists all take new inspiration from Jill’s informal, intuitive and expert teaching methods.
Classes are from one to four students and range in duration from a half-day to four days (accommodation can be arranged nearby).
